Merchant Guide: How It Works
What is being a Merchant on P2P.me?โ
As a merchant, you are a verified seller who helps people buy and sell cryptocurrencies using local money (PIX, bank transfer, etc).
You earn a commission on each transaction you complete.
What changed with Circles?โ
Before, you registered directly with P2P.me. Now, you join a Circle โ a group of merchants managed by an administrator.
Benefits for you:
- Closer support from your admin
- Community of merchants to share experiences
- Possibility of receiving extra capital (delegated stake)
- Clearer and more transparent rewards
How do I become a Merchant?โ
Step 1: Choose a Circleโ
- Look for active Circles in your region/currency
- Check the reputation and conditions of each one
- Some Circles have Telegram/Discord communities
Step 2: Make your security depositโ
- Deposit USDC as collateral (minimum varies by country, usually $250)
- This amount stays locked while you're a merchant
- Serves as protection for buyers
Step 3: Set up your payment methodsโ
- Add your bank accounts, PIX, etc
- The Circle Admin may need to approve (depends on the rules)
- Done! You start receiving orders
How much do I earn?โ
Commission per transactionโ
You receive 2% of the volume of each completed transaction.
Example:
- You complete a sale of $1,000
- Your commission: $20
Bonus for delegated stakeโ
If your Circle Admin delegates extra capital to you, the commission on that extra volume is split:
| Who receives | How much |
|---|---|
| You (merchant) | 60% |
| Who delegated the capital | 20% |
| Circle protection fund | 10% |
| Circle Admin | 10% |
My security depositโ
How much do I need to deposit?โ
- Minimum: $250 USDC (varies by country)
- Maximum: $1,000 USDC (varies by country)
- The more you deposit, the more orders you can receive
When can I withdraw?โ
- You can request to exit at any time
- There's a waiting period of 30 days (cooling off)
- This protects against pending issues
Can I lose my deposit?โ
Yes, in serious cases:
- If you abandon transactions without resolving
- If you're found guilty in many disputes
- If there's proven fraud
The good news: following the rules, your deposit is safe.
What can go wrong?โ
Disputes with buyersโ
- Buyer opens dispute saying they didn't receive
- Your Circle Admin reviews the evidence
- If you're right, nothing happens
- If you were wrong, you may lose part of your deposit
Tip: Always keep receipts of all transfers!
Bank account blockedโ
- Notify your Circle Admin immediately
- Document everything (screenshots, protocols)
- The protection fund may cover losses in some cases
Many disputes against youโ
- If you lose 3 or more disputes, part of your deposit is held
- It's a warning sign โ review your processes
Tips for successโ
โ Respond quickly โ buyers value speed
โ Keep everything โ screenshots, receipts, conversations
โ Communicate โ warn about delays before they become problems
โ Know your admin โ they're your first line of support
